National Consultancy to Conduct Data Gap and Needs Assessments for the Fisheries Sector to Inform Marine Spatial Planning in Barbados.

This inception report outlines a consultancy under the BE-CLME+ Project to identify fisheries data gaps and needs to support Marine Spatial Planning in Barbados. Working with the Barbados Fisheries Division, Coastal Zone Management Unit, and regional partners, the study will review existing data, conduct stakeholder interviews, and carry out participatory mapping with fishers. The aim is to improve fisheries-related spatial data to support sustainable ocean planning, with outputs including findings, recommendations, maps, and a final report.
